Renovations to the popular South Coast Mall in KwaZulu-Natal have already been successful in increasing foot traffic. In particular, the modern aesthetics of the food court have proved popular in creating a feel-good place to be. The tenant mix was reconfigured, and a Food Lover’s Market added.
This eight-storey landmark building faces the intersection of Rivonia Road, Katherine Streets and Sandton Drive. There’s no more prominent or desirable site in the whole of the Sandton CBD, the richest square mile in Africa. This eye-catching property has earned a Green Building Council of South Africa 4-Star Green Star SA design rating.
Extending the lifestyle of this landmark asset in Cape Town, and giving it the added benefit of the latest in efficient design and operation, this building is benefiting from a major upgrade and green-over.
Redefine’s third premium-grade commercial office building built to specifications, Rosebank Towers will also host the Company’s new Head Office. This building is almost fully let, and has had half a floor added due to interest from the market. It is expected to have a four-star Design and Build rating from the GBCSA.
Located directly outside the University of Pretoria, Hatfield Square is in a prime position to succeed as a mixed-use student accommodation development. A large retailer has been approached as an anchor tenant for a retail component. Letting of beds will only start once phase one is complete. The overall development will offer residential and retail components, and serve as a flagship, mixed-use precinct that resonates strongly with the live, work and play theme that echoes across Respublica residences.
Close to Cape Town International Airport and serviced by the N2, Robert Sobukwe Road and Borcherds Quarry Road, Golf Air Park is ideally placed for light industrial tenants who rely on a close proximity to transport infrastructure. The project has been earmarked by the GBCSA for the new Industrial Pilot Rating Tool and is estimated to achieve a minimum of a 4-star rating.
The contemporary design of Centurion Mall’s refurbishment is eye-catching and invites the community to visit the centre. With a new central atrium on the upper level and the new Woolworths atrium below, retail shops have been introduced, together with the re-opening of some favourites such as Wimpy and Fournos, both with new outlets. Every visitor is welcomed with a fresh and enhanced shopping experience, with ample and easy parking available.
East Rand Mall, the shopping centre which has been a much-loved destination in the heart of Boksburg for decades, is about to become bigger. The extensive redevelopment plans will enlarge East Rand Mall by a further 7 350 m² and will include a bigger and better fashion offering. The newly revamped mall will eventually feature rooftop parking, new tiling and lighting, upgraded bathroom facilities, additional stores and much more.
This renovation will inject new life into this well-loved local centre in Cape Town. The most important aspect of the upgrades so far have been the parking areas, with new side parking decks commissioned and a pay-on-foot parking system implemented. The food court will be relocated and expanded to accommodate a new line of shops. The tenant mix was also refreshed.
